Odilon Almeida, president, chief executive officer and board director of ACI Worldwide, a global software company that provides real-time payment solutions to corporations around the world, leads 4,000 employees based on values. For him, it’s integrity, accountability, diversity, and respect. 

Those values have guided him through a more than 30 -year career in top companies of the U.S and the world. 

Prior to joining ACI Worldwide, Mr. Almeida started his career in marketing at Colgate Palmolive but later joined Coca-Cola, Bank Boston, Western Union, and Advent International. He served in many positions across the companies and lived in a variety of cities, including Toronto, Rio de Janeiro, Atlanta, and Miami. 

ACI Worldwide moved its headquarters to Miami-Dade in the fall of 2021 with the promise of creating 182 jobs in the community for its global headquarters in a wide range of positions including sales, tech, product, corporate, finance, and human resources. Because of that, the company received approval in March 2021 to get over $360,000 in economic incentives from state and local funds. 

In 2020 alone ACI Worldwide had a revenue of $1.29 billion. The company currently powers digital payments and banking for more than 6,000 organizations around the world. Since joining the company in 2020, Mr. Almeida has accomplished several milestones, including a projection to grow 5% and achieving and surpassing the Rule 40. Mr. Almeida says he already has many projects on his desk and is optimistic about the future of the company and the real-time payment industry.
